ActiveDoc is a web based application to help organization manage their business processes documentation. The system maintains the Org Chart automatically. The principal behind ActiveDoc is as follow: The Vision, Mission and Objectives (VMO) are communicated down the org chart. Than, the necessary processes with goals are created throughout the organization to meet the VMOs. Roles are created for actors to executes these processes. Process accountable positions are responsible for reporting metrics to their higher hierarchy.

We have augmented ActiveDoc to support the implementation of the COBIT 4.1 framework. It contains all features of ActiveDoc plus:

• Nice maturity voting mechanism. The initial, current, target and industry level of any COBIT process can be voted in groups or individually. When voting in group, a moderator assigns the maturity level of the process(es) for the entire group of people at once. All people participating in the session are assigned the same vote. When voting individually, the moderator optionally send an email to every participant informing where to go in the application to vote and, also optionally, mention a deadline to perform the vote. The system can automatically send two reminders to each voters that have not yet voted at that time.
• The entire COBIT 4.1 process titles are preloaded.
• All Responsible, Consulted and Informed  roles are automatically linked to ActiveDoc roles and Accountable roles assigned an ActiveDoc position.
